The Society of American Travel Writers announced its Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism awards over the weekend at its annual convention down in Guadalajara, Mexico. Southern Living magazine’s “Tales From the Road” blog garnered the Bronze in the travel blog category.

When I was a lowly “Web-tern” at SouthernLiving.com, I helped the editorial team get the blog off the ground, and even contributed some posts here and there.

Kudos to SL!

An End to the Winter of Solitude…

  • Developing a key content partnership for a national relocation Web site.
  • Optimizing 100+ Web sites.
  • Attending Podcamp Nashville!
  • Editing the forthcoming editions of two annual magazines.

But, as always, I aim to post here a bit more regularly. Stay tuned…

Some suggested sessions include blogging, podcasting and social networking. I had a conversation last night with an organizer, and hope to sit on a panel for the group. The convention is in November and preliminary information can be found here. More to come soon…
